A special Health care and Social Support-based initiative called the Workforce Development Training Fund (WDTF) connects businesses with opportunities for professional development to raise employee skill levels. The staff members who work in health and social care in the UK have access to a small pool of funding that supports their ongoing training & professional development and pays for certification courses.

The employer may reimburse the expense of a staff’s completion of a healthcare and social support qualification, course, or training. Employers can utilise the WDF to recoup some of their direct expenditures for training and development, including training fees.
